Create your own timezone & DST settings?

Hello,

I've problem with Tickstory and the timezones.

I'm trading with IC Markets and unfortunately there is no preset in Tickstory which has the correct timezone and DST settings.
They use UTC+2 but the US DST.

They are not using the US Eastern Standard Time but their DST so how shall I get the right settings in Tickstory is there any way I could change the DST settings in Tickstory?

" Please be informed that on Sunday the 4th of November, 2018 IC Markets Metatrader server time will move backwards by one hour from GMT + 3 to GMT + 2. This change is to reflect the US Eastern Standard Time change taking place on the 4th of November, 2018

IC Markets Metatrader 4 & 5 server time is based on “5 pm New York”. As the time in the US will move back by one hour IC Markets server time will also move backwards to reflect the change. "

If you are looking for "New York Trading Hours", then there is a specific time-zone for this at the top of the time-zone selection box. More information can be found of the forum here:

I see, its quite complicated.

So I guess then New York trading hours would be better than new settings GMT+2 with US settings for me?

Just another addition but wouldn't ist still better to have the GMT+2 and US DST settings?

Then I would have the exact broker time and the correct open/and close or do I get this wrong?

I have the same question...

I have IC markets true ECN 1:500 Account, and as far as it is being shown by ic markets on its page,
the server summer time is +3 GMT and winter time +2 GMT.

All due daylight savings in the US and Europe.

In the Tickstory 'export to MT4' tab you as user are only able to select UTC time.

Since I do not know about UTC time, I checked google and it says that other than GMT it is not a time-zone but a universal time.

Now I really have some doubts what I should select;
I asked you on your youtube channel, and the admin told me I should choose New York time
here in the forum I read the thread of another IC markets user who says he uses London time.

What is correct?!

IC markets works on "New York Trading Hours". If you look towards the top of the Tickstory time-zone selection box, you will see this time-zone. This automatically adjusts for day-light savings. To view the time-shifts, you can press the 'i' button next to the selected time-zone. If you want to see the actual dates where the time shifts, you can refer to the above mention threads about "New York time" (i.e. https://tickstory.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1292).

Hello everyone,

Can someone help me, please?

I want to download MT5 tick data with comma delimiter, until her all good.
However when I try to set the time zone GTM +2 with DST for US, it is not possible.

Is there a way to change the settings so I can download the data as mentioned above?

I think you might be looking for the New York Trading Hours time-zone which is at the top of the Time-zone selection box.
