hi guys
i'm triyng to use tickstory to download SP500 data
unfortunately, the historical data starts only from september 2011
i've found online a more complete CSV file
is there any way to import it in tickstory instead of using the poor data provided from dukascopy?
i've read in an old thread of 2014 that the import feature should be added soon.... )
https://tickstory.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... lit=IMPORT
otherwise i could import the CSV in mt4
but without tickstory i will not be able to modify the history file to test it with different scenarios (spread, swap, etc...)
thanks
import external csv?
Re: import external csv?
Hi Siolbros,
Yes, this one has been on our list for a while - it's basically part of the "new generation" Tickstory we are still working on (it's a complete re-write!)
You could possibly import the data directly into MT4 for the moment, however as you may already be aware, this will be suitable for at best 1-minute back-tests. If this is fine, then you via the Strategy Tester you can at least test various spread combinations simply by specifying the "spread" in Strategy Tester's 'spread' box.
Hope this helps.
