On your website, the cost of a standard tickstory license is shown as $34.95 with a month of support. What if I want longer than a month of support? Is there a support plan? If so, what's the cost. Please clarify this, since your website is very vague about it.

There's a bit of history behind the current payment model so please bear with the explanation. Our policy around updates is currently to provide "at least 1 month of support and updates". Historically, this model has come about from our bid to make our software as accessible as possible to all users while still ensuring we can cover our development & support costs. Although we have been endeavouring to provide updates and support beyond this 1-month period, we would like users to understand that this is done on a discretionary (and bonus) basis. We have chosen to use this model as it gives users the maximum value for their purchase - we are trying to guarantee that all users receive at least 1 "significant" update with their license.
With that said, we understand that many users would like some certainty around support and updates (and a little less explanation
. To this end, are looking to restructure this model in the future so it removes any ambiguity/uncertainty. We will obviously make any announcement when this changes. For the moment, the important points to note are that 1) we always provide support to users with a paid license (with priority to those who have bought upgrades) and 2) we will email you whenever you need to pay for an upgrade and will ensure that this is done at a nominal price (eg. users of v1.7 who upgraded to v1.8 had to pay 50% of the retail price). If the update has been made within a month of your purchase, you will receive it free.
Apologies for the lengthy response but I hope this does at least give you enough background to know that we are building our software with our users' interests in mind.
