MT4 portable version

Dear all,

To save my SSD, all my backtesting are done on the F: drive with \portable as target.

Howerver when a launch MT4 via the Tickstory it open the c:...\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal\

Is it the way to use the portable option?

Hi Laurent,

In Tickstory's File->Settings->MT4 Settings->Command line parameters, put "/portable" (without quotes). Next time you launch, MT4 should be in portable mode.

I have v1.8.1 and it won't open my portable mt4 EVEN THOUGH i HAVE /PORTABLE IN THE COMMAND LINE AS YOU ADVISE.

In fact it says it cannot launch any MT4 having tried all the options??

Pls advise.

Hi Sydap2003,

The error you are getting is most likely because you need to be running the latest v1.8.2 of Tickstory that supports the latest MT4 Build (988). Please use your download link to obtain the latest version and try again.

I purchased an Upgrade in June and the test says that I have current version.

Surely I don't have to pay for yet another upgrade?

No, it is not necessary for you to purchase an upgrade. As indicated, please click on your download link to get the latest 1.8.2 update (we've resent it to you in case you're missing it). Once you are running v1.8.2 (check Help->About), then this version supports the most recent MT4 Builds (988).
