Tickstory

Hi

I have just entered the payed community of Tickstory (1.8.1.0)
I did get all the details to set it up and installed it.
MT4 build 971 was already installed and is running correctly.
OS: WIN 10

1. I cannot get the license you gave me to be recognised by Tickstory
I used copy/paste and it was rejected.

2. I tried to enter the key manually, also no success. But I am not sure
if I did not mix uppercase i with lower case l etc. Was impossible for me to determine that.

3. I tried to run Tickstory without the licencse just to check if it recognises MT4
which it did not.
Got the message that my MT4 installation is not valid.

Hi Ekke,

1) We tried the license key you were sent and it's woking fine. Sometimes email packages may try inserting extra linefeeds, so make sure the entire code has none. Also make sure you do not have any spaces at the beginning, end or in the middle of the key. Paste it into Notepad to make sure it appears as a single line.

2) Can you please log into your MT4 terminal at least once. This will ensure that all the necessary broker information (symbols, etc) are downloaded. Once this is done, Tickstory should recognise the folder.

I had done all the things you suggested. No success.

Can you please e-mail the licence key again.
I have no luck with what I have.

Does TS recognise the MT4 installation even if the licence key is not accepted?
If yes, then I have the problem that it doesn't.

Just to reiterate:
OS: WIN 10
MT4 (971) installed and running correctly.
TS 1.8.1 installed without key.
TS does not see the MT4 installation.

I am getting a little desperate.

Hi Ekke,

As per our discussion offline, your license issue seems sorted along with the error message. The reason for the error message on selection of the MT4 installation Folder is that you hadn't logged into MT4 at least once. This means that important files had not been downloaded from your broker and therefore Tickstory wasn't recognising your installation as valid.

I realise now how stupid that was. I took running MT4 as login.
What can I say. I apologise. Must be old age and getting worse.
