Hi Mik123,

Could you kindly open a new thread and give us some more information such as screenshots which will help trouble-shoot the issue. Namely:

1) A screenshot of your Tickstory Export to MT4 window (in particular the "MT4 Settings" tab).
2) A screenshot of your Metatrader Data Directory (in MT4 go to File->Open Data folder). (Do the screenshot after you have finished exporting from Tickstory and attempted your back-test)
3) A screenshot of the MT4 error message you are getting.

Hopefully this will give us a good idea of what's going on and we'll solve it for you ASAP.

Hi,

I'm using 1.8.5.0 with MT4 build 1010 - TickStory launches MT4 okay (the title bar says 'with TickStory Launcher') but when I do any backtesting the FXT file is overwritten.

Any ideas? Do I need to put anything in the command line args?

@Traderjoe - Could you kindly provide us with the email details you used when registering so we can locate your license?
@Paintball935 - We have sent you an email about upgrading from v1.7.x to 1.8.x.
@JohnLancs - Please make sure your FXT files are marked as 'read-only' and that you have correctly mapped your symbol to your MT4 instrument name. If you are still having issues, appreciate if you can post a few screenshots in a new thread.
