Issue exporting and backtesting DJI/USA30

Hi there,

I bought standard license on tickstory, then followed this guide in this post http://usermanual.tickstory.com/doku.ph ... mt4_export

Things went well for "EurUsd", but when I tried "USA30.IDX”, my MT4 terminal could not connect with the data export from tickstory, and it started to download history data from brokers.

I guess the reason is pair name difference, in my broker it’s named "DJI30”, while in the data file it’s named “USA30.IDX”.

I can’t find tickstory’s support email. Has anybody ever encountered this? Any idea to fix it? Thanks for your help!

Hi TienDuong,

Thanks for licensing your copy of Tickstory.

Regarding your issue, when you export, please make sure you use the "Map to" field to tell Tickstory to map the "USA30.IDX" data to your broker's symbol name "DJI30". The "Map to" feature is described in the manual here: https://tickstory.com/help/tickstorylit ... t_settings.

You can also find a few examples if you search the forum for "Map to":

https://tickstory.com/forum/search.php?keywords=map+to

Once you have done this (and also launched MT4 with the "Launch" button in Tickstory), your back-test should result in 99% modelling quality (if not, please refer to this article in the FAQ to help trouble-shoot: https://tickstory.com/help/tickstorylit ... ng_quality).

Hope this helps resolve the issue.
