Re: Historic Rate Data from Gain Capital
Thanks, Fiverr. We're working on a delimited file importer that should handle this format. Any comments with regard to the reliability of the data?

Re: Accuracy of TickData Testing
Hi Fiverr, I assume that you have managed to resolve the major differences by making sure the two FXT headers are the same? I note that in your back-test report there are significant differences in the number of bars and modelling ticks between the CSV2FXT & Tickstory datasets. If you are working to...

Re: Different results
Hi Rpg, Please make sure that you are launching MT4 via Tickstory's "Launch MT4" button prior to backtesting. Failure to do so will result in the problems you're describing. If your results do not show 99.9% modelling quality then you have missed a step somewhere. As for the Sunday data, Tickstory w...

Re: Any news on 'OPEN PRICES' Mode
Hi Tickroll, Thanks for your feedback. We are listening and taking note of all the suggestions coming in although as you can appreciate we have many user-requested items in our backlog that we are trying to incorporate into our next major release. In regards to the Open Pricing mode, we unfortunatel...

Re: Problems in 'Open Prices' Mode
Hi Tickroll, We have tried the following on Build 765 of MT4 that appears to allow testing in open prices mode while using your own Metatrader Info settings: 1) Generate your tick data export via Tickstory for the desired symbol. 2) In MT4 Strategy Tester, select your exported symbol and select the ...

Re: Help setting up ASX Index
Hi Danny, All I can suggest at this point is to try export a small sample of data to analyse what the differences are. In the next major upgrade of Tickstory we will be offering a viewer that can browse the MT4 FXT files which may make it easier to see if there are any differences in the two data se...

Re: Application Error on View
Thanks for your update, DerkWehler. MT4 has a few limitations on how large their data files can be, although this usually affects back-testing and not display of charts. If you have managed to use the "Download" option for the date range you need (with no errors reported), then it should indicate al...

Re: Why can't see the testing chart?
Hi Jollydragon, The manual outlines how you need to not be logged into your MT4 terminal as the broker will potentially override the historical data you have exported with Tickstory. This is different to ensuring your MT4 terminal is closed during the export process. Please ensure you do not log in ...

Re: Why can't see the testing chart?
Hi Jollydragon - are you connected to your broker? If so, it is possible that your data is being refreshed from your broker's server again. Make sure you are disconnected and try the export again.
Thanks.
Thanks.
