Re: Possible V7 issues?
Hi trying2trade, You raise a good question with regards to what "support" means, so please let me clarify. The launcher itself is considered to be a "non-core" feature of Tickstory - it is there to assist users to back-test with Metatrader 4, however it is not a "database" feature which is the prime...

Re: TickInfoExpert
Hi ramacan, Good to hear you worked around the issue. More than likely what you're experiencing is due to Windows 7 folder virtualisation. Have a read of this article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927387 which explains how files that are written into the Program Files folder are redirected to a u...

[TICKLITE-64] MT4 Export: Allow filtering of duplicate ticks
New feature suggestion : The ability to filter "duplicate" ticks. A "duplicate" tick is defined as a consecutive tick that occurs in the same minute and has the same quoted price. The idea behind filtering duplicate ticks is to: Minimise the size of the exported file. Speed up back-testing since mo...

Re: TickInfoExpert
Hi ramacan, Did you run the EA on a live chart? If so, then it should be in the experts/files directory (if you ran it in the Strategy tester, the file will reside in the tester/files directory). The system does check if the file fails to write and will give you an error message if this is the case....

Re: Export in 4H, 30M time frames
Hi jfroth,
File exports for custom time-frames is a good idea and has been put on the todo list. If you have some specific time-frames in mind that you would like (you've mentioned 30 min and 4 hourly - anything else?) then please let us know and we'll try get it in the next version.

Re: How to export GMT times with no Daylight Savings Time (D
Hi jfroth, The naming convention is acquired from the Windows operating system (which, incidentally, is slightly more explicit under Windows 7 vs XP) and is essentially intended to name the base time-zone followed by the location. The location effectively determines whether daylight savings applies ...

Re: Supported MT4 Launcher Version
Hi pipkiller, Are you asking how to start the launcher? If so, just press F8 to start the launcher. The launcher currently supports MT builds 432, 445 and 451 (and also Tick Data Suite if you have it installed). If the launcher does not work on your version, it will give you a message box prompt. Ot...
