Re: v0.8 Released!

Hi allyfx, Just to temper your expectations, the initial version of the charts will be very rudimentary with the intent on allowing users to inspect the underlying data before exporting. Renko charts aren't going to be available, however I'm not sure whether you can already do what you need by expor...

Re: v0.8 Released!

Hi allyfx,

Thanks for your feedback. The charting feature should be available very soon - in the next version or the one after. Is there a specific feature that you are looking for in the charts or merely to view the data?

Regards.

Re: Can't get 99% quality after exporting in the first time

Hi Kong_28, Can you please check the following: - That you are using the latest version of Tickstory (currently v0.8) - That when you generate your MT4 export, you select the option 'Make FXT files read-only'. - That you are launching MT4 with Tickstory at all times. If you follow these steps, you s...

Re: What if Dukascopy corrects a tick file

Hi Jack, I am not aware of any "corrections" to the Dukascopy data. The change from the .bin to .bi5 format was to make use of the best compression and reduce data sizes/bandwidth usage. The tick data itself should be unchanged. If for some reason you want to re-download the data from Dukascopy, you...

Re: Metatrader Info

Hi tcferreira, Please read the topic "Customising MT4 export settings" for information on the Metatrader Info tab. The content of the 'Company' and 'Server' fields are arbitrary and do not affect your back-test results. The spread field should be set to an "average" amount or whatever is appropriate...

Re: Invalid file error (was: About the FXT problem)

No problem. If your EA is not dependent on it, you can filter out duplicate ticks which will make the file notably smaller and might extend the range you can test.

Re: Can't get 99% quality after exporting in the first time

Hi Kong_28,

The issue with the launcher is being investigated under Windows 7 (see http://www.tickstory.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=142). When you say it works the "first time" - when is this? After a reboot? After closing down Tickstory? How do you get it to work again?

Thanks.
