Re: Completely different tick data in USD/CHF (and possibly others)
So I did another test, and redownloaded data from dukascopy via the newest tickstory lite version that I could download. The filesize of the newly downloaded bi5 files via the newest tickstory version matches the filesize for my old downloaded tickstory data from 2019. So that means that tickstory d...

Completely different tick data in USD/CHF (and possibly others)
While I was browsing my data, I found out that JForex App would show me no tick data for certain timeframes, i.e. 17.05.2019 in USD/CHF. Jforex is configured to use the same folder (.cache) I download my Dukascopy data into with Tickdata. I also tried the Official downloader from dukascopy with the ...

Re: Automatic starting dates per instrument
Going over the data it seems like the starting dates dukascopy's api gave me may not even be the earliest dates possible. I.e. : AUD/SGD;2007.03.14 01:00:20.923 was the data from the jforex api, however, I was able to download data starting at 2007.02.14 00:00 with Tickstory (looking at the director...

Re: Automatic starting dates per instrument
And keep in mind all instruments that have no TICK data should not appear in my last posts lists, but could have data in other timeframes. Also, higher timeframes may start earlier back in time - EURUSD for example goes back to 1973 in the weekly timeframe. I guess that is not relevant for Tickstory...

Re: Automatic starting dates per instrument
I've downloaded the starting dates (timeframe TICK) today for all crossrates since at least one of the dates on your page seems not to be correct (i.e. AUDCAD starts on the page at 2010, while the first data online is available at 2006). I removed all crossrates that are listed in the api but at the...

Re: Automatic starting dates per instrument
Thanks for your reply. Cool, I did not know the page with the dates. Going through your list, I spotted two instruments that are selectable in tickstory but missing on your page: AUDCAD, USDCNH. And CHFSGD appears twice in your list. Stuff like this happens to my lists all the time. I know tha...

Automatic starting dates per instrument
Hey there, if the user selects a date that is earlier then the first available data for a given instrument, tickstory will request all data regardless, resulting in a lot of 404's and a long waiting time until the first download starts. This could be prevented. in jforex there is a function where th...

Data gaps and bad ticks - error source?
Hey guys, I am reposting this since I did not see the thread after submitting it and there was no "awaiting moderation" message or similar, sorry if this is a duplicate. I was only surfing through the crosses that contain eur and/or usd only so far. I have found several crossrates that have bad tick...
