Ok right! So to be sure I have an expected timezone for eg currencies or gold, I should set it explicitly to eg GMT0. Does it make sense to do that?

Hi,
regarding your example of mapping XAUUSD to GOLD, on the "Metatrader Info" tab would this mean the "Base curr" would be "XAU"? Is that correct?

MT5 not using tick data
Hi, A common problem I'm sure. I'm using the FBS version of MT5. Downloaded tickdata for XAUUSD for the last 5 years, created the custom symbol and imported the tick data in. MT5 seemed to use the data for the first backtest but then for subsequent tests in the Journal it seems to be going up to FBS...
