Re: Tickstory now very processor tied
The improvement is almost unbelievable! I can export to files using 30 of my 32 cores and each is running the CPU core near max. I'm not sure exactly how much faster it is, but I can export at least 20x faster than I could before. Thanks your for this incredible update! Btw, I have not had one littl...

Re: Tickstory now very processor tied
Here is a tip for your programmer(s). When I am processing multiple large files I avoid the headache of thread protection management by giving all that to the OS. I do this by calling one program to do the file processing over and over until I have reached the maximum number of threads I want to use...

Re: Tickstory now very processor tied
Okay, I saw a post where you day that he file export only uses one thread and that the downloads are now multi-threaded. That explains it.

Re: Tickstory now very processor tied
Sorry, that does not help. I am talking about file exports. The entire Tickstory.exe screen is black with only 10 exports running on data that has already been downloaded. So it should not be hitting the server. Is it possible that my Tickstory program is actually running as Lite or in some way not m...

Tickstory now very processor tied
I let my membership lag a few months and then paid the yearly to get going again. Since then, my file exports are insanely slow and appear to be using only one core. If I tell it to use 10 operations at once in settings, this brings the program to its knees. It cannot even refresh its display. Prior...

Trouble selecting which time-zone to use (IG Markets)
I am using IG.com with their MT4 platform and want to export data to it using the correct time-zone. Looking at Market Watch in MT4, I see that the time is London time or UTC+1. If I export Tickstory data using the European/London DST I get data that is off by two hours. I'm sure that the IG data is...

Re: Please explain tick export time stamp
OMG! Thank you. My earlier file was too big to see in a text editor so I loaded it into Excel. Thank you.

Excel issue with tick export time stamp
I exported AUDCAD ticks for two days to see the format TickStory produces. I used date, time, ask and bid price. The confusing field is time. It starts at 00:00.1 — which seems fine until I see 59:59:0 at the end of the day.
What am I looking at for time and why not a 24 hour per day time?

Suggestion for pause, restart, and stop actions
During an initial download of, for example, 28 forex pairs, a computer is going to be tied up for a very long time given the paltry max download speed of about 1.2Mbps. That means that if I need to interrupt the download process to reboot or do some other computer intensive action, I have to cancel ...
